Our youngest was scheduled for Basic and ready to go. I, of course was not ready for him to go. Covid delayed his plans and gave us a few more months with him. March arrives, spring break is spent getting last minute Boot Camp items and courage for mom. Boot Camp day is here and we see him off for the next 12 weeks. If I could make it through this I would be OK. Turns out, I was. 🙂
To distract us we decided to see if there was ANYWHERE we could go outside of the US. That is when we found it. We were going to give St. Lucia a go. A Sandals Resort. The St. Lucia Grand. It was one of the only places we could go at the time of COVID restrictions. At this time there were many restrictions in place, but if you followed them you were good to go.
Dr. appointments made, COVID test taken, negative YAY.
Now that it was official it was time to prep for the trip. Oh, we also decided we would renew our wedding vows. I had no idea this was like planning an actual wedding. Our resort called about specifics, a cake, a song, flowers and location at the resort.
